MEDIAN-CORRETORES DE SEGUROS is a Portuguese company, integrated into the CONCENTRA Group.
Originating in Spain, the CONCENTRA Group has been strengthening its position in the Iberian insurance markets, pursuing the ambition to become the 1st Independent Insurance Broker Group.
Although MEDIAN’s early years of activity coincided with a period of severe economic and social crisis in Portugal (1974 and 1975), work requests and business grew consistently.
Among its clients, MEDIAN counts national and foreign institutions and companies, collaborating with some of them continuously for more than 40 years.
The modernization of companies, the economic and social development of the country, integration into the European Union, and the advent of globalization require resource optimization and efficient action.
MEDIAN-CORRETORES DE SEGUROS was founded in 1974 by Abílio Almeida Santos, after 16 years of professional experience in insurance and the working method of a prestigious North American broker, which gave rise to the desire to build a Portuguese company with the capabilities of efficient insurance advisory.
Since August 2023, MEDIAN has become an integral part of the CONCENTRA Group and is now under the management of the second generation. With a reinforced focus on risk management of origin and/or multinational character, MEDIAN has expanded its action beyond national borders, extending to the Iberian scope.
